A balance bike is generally suitable from around 1.5 to 2 years of age – provided the child can stand and walk securely. The correct inseam length is important so that both feet can comfortably reach the ground.
PUKY balance bikes such as the LR M model are suitable from around 2 years of age. For larger children from 2.5 or 3 years, there are appropriate models like the LR L, LR LIGHT or LR XL. Body height and inseam length are the deciding factors – our size chart helps you choose the right model.
You can start with a balance bike as soon as the child can walk securely and independently. This is usually the case between 18 and 24 months. The first balance bike should be light and ergonomic – like our PUKY LR M or the adjustable PUKY NEXT.
For children from around 2 years, balance bikes with 10-inch or small 12-inch wheels are recommended. The PUKY LR M (8.8 inches) is particularly compact, while the LR L or LR LIGHT with 12 inches are slightly larger – ideal for growing children.
