The low frame entry and the low standover height favour safe mounting and dismounting for young riders at traffic lights and crossings. This means that feet quickly land on the ground again, which is a helpful factor for inexperienced riders in particular.
Aluminium has long been a proven frame material for bicycles. Light, robust and rust-free - three key advantages that distinguish aluminium from steel. All our YOUKE models have a high-quality aluminium frame, as well as other weight-optimised components such as handlebars, cranks and rims.
In our YOUKE models, we use standardised and child-friendly V-brakes on the front wheel. This ensures a good braking effect and guarantees optimum braking force control so that the rider comes to a safe stop. In contrast to conventional V-brakes, crashes caused by excessive, abrupt braking power are avoided. Our YOUKE models also have a coaster brake (back-pedalling brake)
We have equipped all our YOUKE models with a sturdy luggage rack to securely fasten and transport small additional loads. ATTENTION: Even if it seems very tempting to transport another person on the carrier, this is strictly forbidden.
To ensure good ergonomics and the longest possible service life, the handlebars and seat post of our YOUKE children's bikes are infinitely height-adjustable. This allows the bike to continuously adapt to the height growth of the little rider.

Children can playfully learn to keep their balance and make their first attempts at riding without feeling overwhelmed by a heavy bike.
Measuring inner leg length in three steps
But how can you measure your child's inner leg length? Quite simply:
- Your child stands with its back against a wall wearing shoes.
- Clamp a book between its legs with the horizontal upper edge at the crotch.
- Now you can measure the distance from the top edge of the book to the floor with a tape measure or folding rule.
The measured value in centimetres is the inner leg length or crotch height. You can now use it to determine the right size for your child's balance bike or bicycle on our website.
