The PUKY CYKE 18 Freewheel stands out with its modern design and geometry specially tailored to children. Lightweight components such as an aluminium frame, handlebars and cranks bring the PUKY CYKE 18 Freewheel down to a total weight of 7.9 kg. This means that the children's bike is perfectly adapted to the weight of the rider. The freewheel and the low standover height help when getting on and off the bike, as well as when adjusting the pedal position when starting at zebra crossings or traffic lights. The PUKY CYKE 18 freewheel is braked by V-brakes. The PUKY SAFETY SET completes the children's bike and already contains the standard components such as stand, bell and mudguards.

Aluminium has long been a proven frame material for bicycles. Light, robust and rust-free - three key advantages that distinguish aluminium from steel. All our CYKE models have a high-quality aluminium frame, as well as other weight-optimised components such as handlebars, cranks and rims.
As children, unlike adults, have their centre of gravity in the upper half of their body, it is particularly important to design the frame geometry in such a way that the children's bike has a particularly balanced riding behaviour. The child-friendly positioning of the bottom bracket and the optimum distance between the saddle and handlebars are further important factors for a child-friendly frame geometry.
We use standardised and child-friendly V-brakes in our CYKE models. These ensure a good braking effect and guarantee an optimum dosage of braking force so that the rider comes to a safe stop. In contrast to conventional V-brakes, crashes caused by excessive, abrupt braking power are avoided.
In addition to the coast brake (coaster brake), some of our models are equipped with a freewheel. This allows the child to set a perfect starting position at the beginning of the journey - for example at traffic lights. In this case, these vehicles have a V-brake at the front and rear.
Our PUKY safety set has always ensured safety on the vehicle and while riding. The set consists of a handlebar pad, a bell, safety handlebar grips, front and rear reflectors, plastic edge protectors on the front mudguard, child-friendly, non-slip pedals with a third reflector and a closed chain case that protects children from reaching into the drive.

Measuring inner leg length in three steps
But how can you measure your child's inner leg length? Quite simply:
- Your child stands with its back against a wall wearing shoes.
- Clamp a book between its legs with the horizontal upper edge at the crotch.
- Now you can measure the distance from the top edge of the book to the floor with a tape measure or folding rule.
The measured value in centimetres is the inner leg length or crotch height. You can now use it to determine the right size for your child's balance bike or bicycle on our website.
